The Gates of Leidos
Abandon hope all ye sans PreCheck
26 May 2025
You can’t take that with you, sir. It goes in the bin. Your keys, wallet, and phone. It all goes in the bin. Belts, shoes, and glasses; in the bin. Laptops, cameras, any large electronics must come out of their cases and go in the bin. All passengers must proceed through the security checkpoint before boarding.
Don’t touch the bins sir. The conveyor will take them through the Scanner. There is no need to wait with your possessions, the conveyor will take them. Please line up for the Scanner. Any individuals without a boarding pass must turn back at this point. Passengers, it’s time to say farewell to all companions without a boarding pass. If you have any grievances, feedback, secrets dark or mundane, all things unspoken, now is the time.
Your pockets must be empty. Unburden yourself as you approach the Scanner. Please remove your wallet, your purse, any and all copper coins on your person. It all goes in the bin. The watch, the jewelry, all financial instruments over $10,000, all souvenirs from your point of departure must be placed in the bins. For our first class passengers, sapphire and platinum club members, and all those who purchased priority status, I regret to inform you that it all goes in the bin. You cannot take it with you to your final destination.
Your phones have already been placed into airplane mode. All photography and video recording is prohibited past this point. You may take a moment to flash your camera roll before your eyes before the Scanner deletes it from your device.
You can’t take that with you, sir. It goes in the bin. No pets or service animals, no canes or wheelchairs. Absolutely no physical aids, firearms, or explosives. All ailments and preexisting conditions, all assets and liabilities, all regrets, fears, and hopes. They go in the bin. You may keep your eye mask and neck pillow for the Long Flight.
If you require assistance a crew member will be with you in due time.
Step forward sir.
Where are you traveling from today? Was your trip for business or pleasure? Where is your final destination? Are you unburdened? Your food, your fruit, your fluids must be put in the bin sir. Place your heart next to the feather outside the scanner and step forward. Arms at your side or across your chest. Eyes closed sir.
Step through sir. Thank you for flying with us this time around. Safe travels on the next leg of your journey.
